A cement based coating mixed with polymer additives applied directly on the slab. It's affordable and works well for terraces without major cracking. Not the most flexible option but a solid choice for straightforward jobs.

Elastomeric and Acrylic Coatings

A flexible waterproof coating that stretches slightly with the concrete as it expands and contracts through the seasons. This is one of the more popular choices for Nepali homes because it handles both monsoon rain and UV exposure reasonably well.

Polyurethane (PU) Membrane

A seamless liquid applied membrane that cures into a rubber like waterproof layer. It's more expensive than cementitious coating but it's also the most durable and handles complex terrace shapes parapets and pipe outlets far better.

Brickbat Coba (Traditional Method)

An older technique using broken brick bats laid in mortar with a slope then finished with a waterproof layer on top. Still used in some traditional builds though most new projects now prefer membrane or coating based systems for a cleaner finish and easier maintenance.

Our Terrace Waterproofing Process

Step 1: Site Inspection
